Meadowlands Sponsors 2011 Alzheimer’s Walk
O'FALLON, Mo. — (October 21, 2011) — Assisted Living at the Meadowlands was the proud sponsor of the 2011 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's.
"I've worked at the Meadowlands from the day that they opened two years ago. I've grown very attached to our residents and their families. I've seen what Alzheimers can do to our residents over time and want to do anything I can to raise awareness and raise money to help our Residents," said Terry Jenkerson, Meadowlands Marketing Director.
"We had a very good turnout not only with our employees but with family members. Not only were we working a waterstation for the event , I was working a vendor stand inside, which was a way to give the community info about the Meadowlands and answer any questions. I hope in some small way that myself and others who work here can contribute in the ongoing fight to find a cure for Alzheimer's."
