Memory Care
Assisted Living at the Meadowlands has a secure memory neighborhood, with programs led by life enrichment partners specializing in Dementia Care. The value of a secure memory unit is knowing that your loved one is safe in the hands of loving, compassionate, educated, and familiar faces. Activities are focused on decreasing over stimulation and complimenting the residents various degrees of independence, promoting dignity.
Our care partners have training that includes education from the Alzheimer’s Association to ensure residents receive the highest quality of life. The Memory Care Neighborhood is specially designed with purposeful walking paths, life stations, and other innovative programming that enhance physical and cognitive functions. Residents will find their days filled with meaningful activities provided throughout the day and evening and led by our Life Enrichment partners.
Our Memory Care Neighborhood is small and creates a warm and intimate home. Care partners including our Medical Director maintain a close relationship with the resident's family to assure subtle changes in health issues are reviewed frequently. Resident, care partner and family form a bond which is an incredibly proactive approach to care giving.
Our Memory Care program features:

Family Coaching
We are committed to the overall wellbeing of our memory care residents and their families. Being able to have meaningful interaction with someone suffering from Alzheimer’s and other dementia can become difficult and challenging. This is why we will conduct family coaching that will help friends and relatives interact with their loved one using the purposeful spaces and life stations available within the Memory Care Neighborhood. We believe the wellbeing of our families and residents will be enhanced through this demonstration of love and commitment.
