Our mission is to provide exceptional, loving and healing care to seniors. We would like to extend a warm welcome and thank you for joining our very special and caring community which features memory care, assisted living and special care neighborhoods.
At Assisted Living at the Meadowlands, which we refer to as Meadowlands, we feel excited and blessed by the opportunities to help on a daily basis. We hope your stay or your family member’s stay will be a satisfying experience and that you will be happy with us. We strive to provide excellence in care for people we serve. Our hope is to exceed our resident and family expectations.
The spirit that embodies our community continues to grow with the untiring efforts of our care partners who take a personal interest in each resident and show their respect for the dignity of each person.
It is important to know our history so you can better understand why since our earliest beginnings care of our elders has been so important.
Beginning in 2004, a study of senior services in the area was commissioned with the purpose of building a senior specialty center. Based on the results of the study, it was found that consumers were very interested in local services, innovation, quality, expertise in memory care, and home like care environments. The study also showed that in order to get the services seniors and their families wanted, they were being forced to look outside St. Charles County.
Care giving family members were left with few choices. They could endure the daily struggles of providing care for their loved ones, place them in a nursing home, or place them into a facility retrofitted for memory care.
As community leaders shared their own stories of their families' struggles of funding appropriate care for loved ones and what they felt was the vital importance of their being able to age in place, they realized that a new beginning was needed. New Covenant Health Care was formed to begin development of this needed senior service.
The founding leaders of New Covenant Health Care were willing to spend their time on this critical concern and pooled their collective resources to build a team that could accomplish the goal of creating a facility that would serve the seniors and families of the St. Charles County area. They wanted to design something grounded in the mission of providing exceptional, loving, and healing care to seniors, and something that would be accessible, affordable, and of the highest quality.
The St. Andrew's Difference
As we moved forward with planning Meadowlands' future, New Covenant Health Care needed a management company that had similar philosophies and service commitments.
Today, St. Andrew's Management Services, a local organization with a 50-year tradition of service to elders, leads our management efforts. Their vision is "to shape environments that assist older adults to live life to its fullest".
Formed in 1981 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of St. Louis-based St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System, St. Andrew’s Management Services provides consulting, development and management services to clients with a mission of service to elders.
Today, STAMS manages 23 retirement communities in Missouri and Illinois, using their extensive experience to help clients deliver exceptional quality of care and achieve excellent financial outcomes.
